Doruk Kumkumoğlu is a Lecturer at Kadir Has University, Visual Communication Design Department. He completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Visual Communication Design at Istanbul Bilgi University. His artistic practice merges photography with different disciplines and representation models, aiming to establish alternative approaches to photography’s conceptual possibilities and its function. In 2016, Kumkumoğlu received Akbank’s Contemporary Artists Award. In the following years, he presented his work in various countries including Italy, France and Japan. He completed his Master’s Degree in Photography at École Cantonale d’art de Lausanne in Switzerland.
