Doğancan Yılmaz

Doğancan Yılmaz is an Istanbul-based artist whose practice explores the intersections of design, architecture, and art within historical, political, and social contexts. With a background in sculpture, Yılmaz’s academic and artistic journey has evolved into a practice that critically explores the relationships between art and the urban environment. At the core of his work lies a deep interest in how art interacts with, and questions, spa tial, social, and identity structures. Since 2021, Yılmaz has also been the director of 400X118 and Non.Sight, independent project spaces.
